The wine aged for  two years, one year in oak barrels and the vino nobile wines labeled riserva must be age for three years.   • ROSSO DI MONTEPULCIANO is a red wine with label DOC, a new version of Vino nobile montepulciano with identical production and similar used of variety of grapes. Yields for Rosso di montepulciano are much higher than vino nobile with 70hl/ha compared to 56hl/ha for vino nobile and the alcohol content is 11.5% along with 21 grams/litre of dry extract compared with 23 grams/litre for vino nobile.
